The native community is probably about four times as heavily infected with venereal disease as the civil population of Ingland.
Venereal infection rate in the Hongkong European Garrison and Home Army compared.
(b) In 1912 the incidence rate for all venereal diseases
in the Home Army was 56 per 1000 of which 22 cases were syphilis.
In 1921 the incidence rate for all venereal diseases in the
Home Army was 40 of which about 9 were syphilis.
In five years 1918-1922 the average incidence rate of all
venereal diseases in the Hongkong European Garrison was
69.0 per 1000 of which 9,87 was syphilis.

Present system as compered with unregulated prostitution. In 1912 in the European Garrison there were 54 cases of
syphilis, 149 cases of gonorrhoes, and 75 cases of venerea 1
Bore.
In 1914 inthe European Garrison there were 4 cases of syphilis, 52 cases of gonorrhoea, and 9 cases of venereal
Bore.
Two new factors were introduced in the latter part of 1913.
(1) The prompt identification and exclusion of all sources.

སྙ venereal sore to, of their previous rates is entirely due to the above two factors. The figures for 1918 to 1922 suggest that the first factor has been more potent than the
